- Background of Mrs Lee Choon Guan**:** Mrs Lee Choon Guan was a pioneer of philanthropy in Singapore and a champion of women’s advancement. She was the Founding President of the Chinese Ladies’ Association (today known as the Chinese Women’s Association), and the first Chinese woman to be made a Member of the Order of the British Empire for her philanthropic efforts in education and healthcare. The Mrs Lee Choon Guan Charitable Trust was established in 1974 to continue her philanthropic legacy.

- The project exhibits significant potential for social impact, clearly identifying the beneficiaries it aims to support.
- The proposal outlines a sustainable model for continuation beyond the initial programme phase.
- The project must be completed within a six-month timeframe.

Disbursement of grant will be in two tranches:
- First Tranche: The disbursement process of S$5,000 will be disbursed either following the NPO’s acknowledgement of the Letter of Offer, or two month before the project start date*, whichever occurs later.
- Second Tranche: Another S$5,000 will be disbursed upon (a) the completion of specified milestones, and (b) the submission of required deliverables**.
**The project start date must not exceed three months from the date the NPO acknowledges the Letter of Offer.
*Necessary justification documents for milestone completion and required deliverables should be submitted to SUSS no later than three months after the project concludes.
NB: It may take up to two months for the funds to be disbursed and received in the NPO's bank account.

The LCG-SUSS Kickstart Fund can cover up to 100% of the project cost.
- Up to 70% of the funding can be allocated towards operational expenses (OPEX), such as marketing, wages, and rent.
- The remaining 30% should be directed towards capital expenditure (CAPEX), including equipment purchases, one-off curriculum development (if training is involved), and the creation of physical or digital products, such as websites or web applications.

- Milestone Agreement**:** Milestones must be discussed and agreed upon with the assigned SUSS account manager. These milestones should be outcome-oriented, focusing on achieving specific results rather than merely producing outputs.
- Milestone Requirements**:** Each milestone should include clearly defined success metrics and the necessary justification materials to validate the completion of the milestones.
- Milestone Completion**:** Milestones are deemed completed only upon SUSS's approval of all submitted documentation that supports and justifies the milestone achievements.

- In any presentation or document that references the project, it is mandatory to acknowledge the support of the LCG-SUSS Kickstart Fund. This acknowledgment should be clearly visible and appropriately integrated into the content to ensure recognition of the funding assistance.

All applicants must submit a one-page project proposal that outlines the scope of the project. The proposal must minimally include the following elements:

Introduction of the Project
- Problem Statement: Briefly describe the issue your project aims to address.
- Proposed Solution: Describe your approach to solving the problem identified.
Example: "Addressing the nutritional needs of the elderly by developing a range of easy-to-consume, nutritious soft foods."

Aim of the Project
- Purpose: Describe the key purpose of the pilot (e.g. to understand feasibility, viability)
Example Purpose: Testing the feasibility of a soft food product line for the elderly.
- Milestones for the duration of the project (Indicators of Success): Specify measurable outcomes that will indicate the project's success.
Example Indicator: Successful creation and testing of three soft food prototypes with positive feedback from at least 60% of participants

Implementation Plan and Financial Strategy
- Usage of Funds: Detail how the awarded funds of $10,000 will be utilised to support the project.

All applicants must submit a one-page project report. The report must minimally include the following elements:
- Project Progress:
- Detailed updates on the current status of the project.
- Assessment of milestones reached and any deviations from the planned timeline.
- Discussion of any challenges encountered and solutions implemented.
- Finances:
- Summary of Expenses: An overview of financial expenditures related to the project.
- Detailed Financial Report: Line items for all expenses, documented in an appendix. This should include all operational and capital expenditures.
- Post-Programme Plans:
- Strategies for sustaining the project after the completion of the initial funding period.
- Long-term goals and any follow-up initiatives.
- Potential areas for further development or expansion.
